Acclaimed pianist Pavel Timofeyevsky returns to the Royal Over-Seas League with an exciting programme that includes one of the best loved works of the 19th century piano repertoire: Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
Considered revolutionary, Mussorgsky's cycle encourages the listener to imagine and transform music into vivid images. This enduring work inspired generations of composers and many well known orchestral arrangements. It is a pleasure to offer the original fiendishly virtuosic piano version.
The programme will also include selected works by Beethoven and Chopin. Kensington Music Society reserves the right to ammend the programme.
Doors open at 19:10. The performance will start at 19:30 pm.Latecomers may not be admitted before the intermission.
Following the performance, there will be a short reception where you will have the opportunity to meet Pavel.
